Nourish Yourself

Starting each day with well balanced nourishment is so important healing ,maintenance & fuel, let’s talk about intuitive eating.

We all know the old saying “you are what you eat” and this is so true. I’ve been a person who struggled with weight issues my whole life. It’s only in the last few years that I discovered and uncovered food and liquids that my body just doesn’t like. As well as foods that nourish my immunity and boost energy.


When you start to infuse the wisdom of intuition into your eating habits you find how to satisfy your taste buds and deeply enjoy your meals.


So let’s break down how this “intuitive eating “ actually is and how you use it to elevate your food plan.



This will involve a little work on your part and can be as simple or complicated as you want.


This whole idea is to notice how your physical body feels after consuming. This is anything that you put into your body.


It’s best to do this as a mono meal (eating one ingredient at a time ) especially if you investigating food allergies.

If your wanting to go that far I suggest trying an elimination diet like keto , carnivore or AIP. There are many to try .

If you’re wanting have some type of auto immune this would be a good time to check these out .


In the simplest form it’s taking a moment after you consumed and noticing how it makes you feel .


Do you feel :

Heavy

Lighter

Heat

Cold

Gassy

Tight

Pleasantly full

Were you satiated?

Are you still hungry or craving?

What do you still crave?

Did it make you feel heart palpitations?

Give you energy?

Make you tired and lethargic?

You can express how it made you feel in depth


At this point some people may keep a good journal. And alter what you need to in your life to find the best plan for you .

Remember everyone is different and foods effect them in different ways. Also you may consider becoming a food label reader.

I cook almost everything because I know what’s in it. In the USA 80 percent of our canned goods have sugar added along with with other chemicals and preservatives that are harmful long term .


In my journal I would write down everything, down to how it was prepared, or where I got it from .


I was dealing with inflammation

I was able to note that every morning after drinking beer I wails have a headache. This was not getting drunk . Maybe two beers. Even though I enjoy it, I didn’t want the long term effect of increasing inflammation. I’m ok with an occasional drink .

Also eating carbs and sugar made my joint pain increase and mobility worse.


So I adjusted and lost weight, have a great immune system and lowered my pain level.


I hope sharing these tips helps you create healthy plan and become more in tune with your inner workings.
